Snowdonia Marathon

Postby Clayhead on Sat Oct 24, 2009 8:58 pm

I've spoken to Nelly after his herculean effort at the marathon today. It was apparently even worse weather than last year only with more wind than before. I'm assuming he was still talking about the weather as there isn't a Morrisons at Snowdon.
He achieved 3hrs 40 and struggled with foot problems from about 15 miles. Brilliant effort I reckon especially as he did a marathon last month too. Probably get to hear more over the weekend but we won't see him in person for a couple of weeks as hes spending a while in Snowdonia doing plenty of walking, running and biking. :o

Top performance Nelly. Sounds a hell of an experience. I'll be there with you next year and looking forward to following the race at 9 on http://www.s4c.co.uk/ ....but first it's Clwb Rygbi.

That was quality TV. The race looked like absolute purgatory.....hell of a peformance, Neil. And I learned there appears to be no welsh words for 'tough going' and 'second wind'.
