Sounds like a cracking race. Well done to everyone! :D
I think it's a must for me next year. Will use it as a pre Snowdon race methinks!!

"Rob will be on presently to discuss where he's going to find 10 minutes from next year."

9 minutes.

Ah. You weren't advised of the minute I'll be finding?

A race results: http://www.deeside-orienteering-club.or ... 009/a.html
B race results: http://www.deeside-orienteering-club.or ... 009/b.html

We were 4th in the A race team results (which seem to be mixed teams, by the way.) If Pat goes before he starts and Rich recces the route, next year we could challenge for that.

Well done to all of you crazy runners today!
I felt inspired by your efforts and the beautiful day and think I will
give it a shot next year
Cant believe women not deemed worthy of same prize allocation of men - nothing nic
likes better than trotting home with a dodgy bottle of wine!

Think you will all sleep well tonight :)

I thought this was a fabulous event - and I loved every step (even when I had whole body cramp :o ). I would, however, suggest training - winging it really isn't very effective! After not having run for a month, having a bad cold the week before, a dodgy piriformis and my longest run since June being 9 miles - I wasn't expecting to get the the start of this one - let alone the finish! When can I sign up for next year? :D

Well done everybody that did this race (A-B) it was great day for running over the hills and fields. After seeing everybody off from the start I jogged back to my car over Bickerton hills I thought what a great day for racing!!

Well done Mike for being the first harrier home,Pat looked at end to have given it everything, Charlie looked like he'd been for a sunday morning stroll, Rich I believe they do excellent tea and cofee at the candle workshop!! Nicky I think its better to be a senior and not get a prize as to be a vet and get one. There is only so many glow sticks and wine a woman can handle!! Congratulations to all the other runners who ran.

A race well worth doing :D

There is a selection of photos now online, and the photographer thinks he is likely to have most people at least once, so if you email

andrew@inspiringimages.co.uk

and tell him your race number he will email you what he's got (for free). You can also buy prints/enlrgements from him and they're not terribly expensive, as I recall.
