Well done to the brave souls who ventured out today - one individual who shall remain nameless wimped out at the last moment...must have been on strike again  Thankfully the weather cleared up for the race apart from some Kansas like mini whirlwinds on some parts of the course. Well done to all including Ruth and particularly Sue in her first 10 miler, who learnt all about hill running today

Thanks to Phil and Gill for support

It was four seasons in one day, as a hurricane blew through staffordshire for this one...

I hope Nicky's cold and Mike hamstring probs are soon a distant memory.

Results are here http://www.stonemm.co.uk/15901.html

Sun, Cloud, Rain, Hurricanes, we had it all today! 191 hardy souls (& Mike H) started today.
James was on such a mission he even let Ivor do his own race. I chased him from mile 4 to 8 :x , sneaking the coveted 1st harrier home by just 13 secs. :D
Mike H saw the floods at 4 miles and jogged back to the car muttering something about a 'hamstring'

The roughish http://freespace.virgin.net/j.haine/FF2009.xlsresults from what i can remember

Pat - 65.03
James -1st M35 - 65.16
Ivor - 67.35
Andy M - PB - 69.28
Ruth - 1st F35 - PB - 73.05
Mike C - 78.31
Martin - 82.38
Sue - PB & Alasdair - 85.53

Pat

(P.S. Get well soon Mike)

Well done all who raced today. I've been along the coast to Holyhead this morning and the weather was atrocious with the wind really whipping up the waves, I can imagine how tough is was for you all. Sorry to hear about Mike's hammy. I couldn't see Darren Perry inthe results so by my reckoning Mike should secure second place overall in the North Staffs League today as I don't think Mark Flint scored enough points today to catch him. :D . Congratulations to everyone who raced in the North Staffs again this year. We are the champions - AGAIN!

(Get well soon Nicki).

Think so. Nearest rivals Newcastle AC were 133 points behind before todays race, a big margin to bridge. Anyone got a couple of hours spare to go through the permutations? Good night.
