Our next monthly curry night (a phenomenon that is building definite momentum among the smart set) will take place on Thursday December 3 at Indian Heaven in Alsager.

As this is getting into the beginnings of the Christmas season (actually it's probably high season by then), we may need to book it in good time, so it would be useful as far as possible to have an idea of numbers well in advance.

We will be having a run from Alsager before this one (details to be announced) to which all are welcome, but this does not mean there will not be training as normal from the Vagrants that night. I'm not sure we have entirely considered the logistics of how people will clean themselves between the run and the meal without access to showers, but cats seems to manage.

Also, as a general point, these evenings are neither the preserve of an elite band of gourmands, nor boorish, beery bloke-ish evenings (though they have mostly consisted of men so far). If you are not a man, and would like to come, there is nothing to fear. Rich and Pat might talk about car design or something, but we nip that in the bud pretty quickly.

As those present at Friday's shindig can attest, the challenge of remembering the additional names for the curry night was beyond my powers. I couldn't even remember them when I got to Dave's van so despite someone's suggestion to write them down as soon as I got in, there was no hope.

In stead I have just added a load of names to the list. Anyone who fails to challenge, in writing, the addition of their name to the list will be legally bound to attend and enjoy it.
