Bob Graham Round attempt Friday 31st July

Bob Graham Round attempt Friday 31st July

Postby Dave Hindley on Mon Jul 20, 2009 10:50 pm

Those that know me will be only too aware that i've been talking of nothing other than this for about the last twelve months! So finally, on Friday 31st July at 7pm, I'm going to begin my attempt on the Bob Graham round.

Starting at the Moot Hall Keswick, I will attempt to visit 42 peaks, the first being Skiddaw, the last, Robinson, a circuit of 72 miles with 27,000 ft of ascent and descent, and back to the Moot Hall before the clock strikes 7pm on Saturday.

The last harrier to complete the BG was John Booth in 2000, a tough act to follow!

We will be using the Trafford Park campsite at Bassenthawaite as a base, and anyone that would like to be around for all part of the weekend would be very welcome, either on or off the fells. 8)

Dave,
Unfortunately this is the day that we go to France in search of some sun.
I wish you good luck and good weather.
Just attempting a feat such as this is inspirational.
I'll be thinking of you and 'the team'.
Take Care
Anthony

Go for it Dave.

On the basis I'll be doing DIY I can genuinely say, this time, despite the mud, I'd like to join you, but I can't.
