Blacks Outdoor Clothing are closing down all of their stores by 24th and everything is half price. They have stores in Chester and I think Hanley. I was in Telford so went to the huge one there on Forge Retail Park. Had a fair bit of Ronhill (mostly mens), North Face, Berghaus, Columbia, Quicksilver, Animal, etc. Lots of camping and skiing stuff too. Shoes/trainers too. Got a pair of Asics that were £90 marked down to £60 but when I got to till they were £30!! So anything marked down already has a further 50% off. Worth a trip within the next couple of days and you can start your Xmas shopping early.

There may have been more news since I saw it, but I think it's most rather than all its stores (including some branches of Millet's which owns Black's). So it might be worth checking before heading off whether our local ones are affected. There's certainly one in Chester. You can phone them up and say "Hi, I was wondering whether you're one of the stores being closed down?" No doubt they will greet you cheerily.

Aldi have their running stuff in from to day too. I like their socks.

I like their vegetables!!!
